Alpha Dhabi has doubled its capital commitment in its private credit joint venture with Mubadala Investment Company to $1 billion.

The investment holding conglomerate has raised its shareholding in MICAD Credit JV from 20 per cent to 40 per cent.

MICAD, managed by Mubadala Capital, oversees approximately $1.7 billion in assets across 45 portfolio companies since its 2023 inception.

Morgan Stanley expects the private credit market could reach $5 trillion by 2029, though the sector faces scrutiny following high-profile US bankruptcies.
