Tropical Depression Pilandok continues to meander over the Philippine Sea east of extreme Northern Luzon, says PAGASA
Tropical Depression Pilandok is located 1,145 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon. It is expected to intensify into a tropical storm by September 1.
Two other tropical depressions outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility are enhancing the southwest monsoon, bringing heavy rain to various areas, particularly Ilocos Region, Abra, and Benguet.
The enhanced southwest monsoon is causing strong winds and rough seas across many areas, with warnings for flash floods and landslides.
