ALBAWABA - In the city of Cedartown, Polk County, Georgia, a local police officers shoots and kills a pet donkey and is put on administrative leave following the incident.The pet donkey, named HeeHaw, belonged to Elsberry Riding and Farm, who in a post on Facebook described how police searched their pasture without permission in the middle of the night.That’s when HeeHaw ran up braying to the officer who effectively shot the pet donkey down after trying to tase it.The Polk County Sheriff’s office immediately offered condolences and stated that they had nothing to do with the shooting and that the incident involved the Polk County Police Department and the Cedartown Police Department. "We extend our sincere condolences to the family and everyone affected by this unfortunate incident. We understand the concern and sadness surrounding what occurred," they said in a statement.Elsberry Riding and Farm started a GoFundMe for their legal fees regarding the incident, "he was a loved member of our family and did many petting zoos and made many people smile," they said.The identity of the officer responsible for the killing HeeHaw has not been released to the public.
