Three of the five crew members were safely rescued by a second trawler before the vessel sank on Saturday evening. The rescued sailors received hospital treatment in Truro and Plymouth and are currently travelling back to France. An intensive search-and-rescue operation was launched involving HM Coastguard, RNLI lifeboats, and French naval aircraft. Search efforts were officially suspended on Sunday night pending further information from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
