CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Authorities seized 320 kilograms of cooked and uncooked processed meat products shipped from Metro Manila after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen in the Occidental Mindoro town of Mamburao on Aug. 29.

Municipal veterinarian Dr. Nathaniel Descanzo said the shipment failed to meet documentary and transport requirements under Executive Order No. 32, Series of 2026, issued by Mayor Glicerio Almero III on July 20.

The order strengthened an earlier directive issued by Occidental Mindoro Gov. Eduardo Gadiano regulating the entry and movement of meat products in the municipality.
