Jaguar reveals the Type 01's screen-free interior

Jaguar has revealed the interior of its new Type 01 electric GT ahead of its October debut, with a four-seat cabin, panoramic glass roof and technology designed to disappear into the car.Jaguar has revealed the interior of its new Type 01 electric GT, giving the clearest look yet at the car that will lead its transformation into an all-electric luxury brand. The four-seat grand tourer will be fully unveiled in New York on 6 October, but Jaguar has now shown the cabin without the camouflage covering its prototypes. The design follows the radical Type 00 concept closely, with Jaguar describing the production interior as a “concept car vision brought to production.” Its defining feature is a central spine running between the front and rear seats, separating the cabin into four individual spaces. For a brand attempting to move decisively upmarket, this interior is an important statement. Jaguar is betting that luxury customers will respond to a cleaner cabin with fewer visible screens and more emphasis on materials, space and design, and I think that’s an interesting bet to make in 2026.
