The Tennessee Titans waived quarterback Will Levis on Sunday, a team source confirmed, ending his three-year tenure with the franchise.Levis, the 33rd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, compiled a 5-16 record during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He threw for 3,899 yards and 21 touchdowns against 16 interceptions over those two seasons. In three games of limited preseason action this season, he completed 21-of-39 passes for 200 yards but did not throw a touchdown or interception. He rushed for 38 yards, but his short stint wasn’t enough to impress the Titans and keep him in a quarterback room that features 2025 top draft pick Cam Ward and 31-year-old Mitch Trubisky, who will likely serve as Ward’s backup.Levis has had a tough career with the Titans until now. He hasn’t played a regular-season game since Dec. 15, 2024, when he committed four turnovers, threw his fourth pick six of the season and was subsequently benched in the Titans’ 37-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Titans started a much-anticipated young QB battle when they drafted Ward a few months later. Yet, Levis missed the entire 2025 season after undergoing surgery to repair the AC joint in his throwing shoulder.Top Plays from Bears @ TitansDespite his growing pains, Levis remains confident he can carve out a career with an NFL franchise. He told reporters at training camp in early August that “there aren’t 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me. I know that for sure. I know I’ve put the tape out there already.”
