My journey to creating Rullst did not begin in a vacuum. As a developer holding professional certifications in Oracle, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, I have navigated the best—and worst—of corporate architecture. My journey began earlier, when I was envisioning my first platform for Christian religious teaching, which became creio.eu, a platform I originally architected using Laravel. When I attempted to replicate that success in Go, I encountered immediate friction. When I searched for a comparable full-stack framework in Rust at that time, I found a void. 🏗️
The evolution was organic. My first crate, Rullst-Connect, was born from the necessity of implementing a robust "Login with Google" flow. Then, to manage my teaching platform without the typical overhead of Rust, I engineered a custom ORM. That was the "Aha!" moment—the realization that the Rust ecosystem desperately needed an opinionated framework that "just works" without sacrificing performance. Thus, the idea for the Rullst framework was born. 🌟
