The charges stem from a locker room altercation with a teammate earlier this month, Fields’ agent confirmed to The Athletic.Fields allegedly struck wide receiver Dozie Ezukanma in the locker room on Aug. 13. TCU’s general manager reported the incident to TCU police the next day, and the school announced a few days later that Fields was dismissed from the team for a “violation of team rules.”Ezukanma revealed himself as the victim in now-deleted social media posts days later, saying that Fields “sucker punched” him and knocked him out. Ezukanma did not travel to Ireland for Saturday’s game against North Carolina, which the Horned Frogs lost 15-10.“It was something that was certainly out of character for the team and the young man that was involved,” head coach Sonny Dykes told reporters on Saturday. “Look, you got 110 football players. I mean, things happen sometimes. You’ve got to find ways to move through them, and man, these young kids are resilient.
