A mass disaster was narrowly avoided on Saturday when two passenger planes nearly collided with the roof of a rugby stadium in South Africa, during a celebratory flyover at the start of a test match between the host country and New Zealand.
In footage widely posted online, the two Embraer planes, both belonging to South African airline Airlink and decked out in green livery, could be seen flying over Cape Town Stadium at the start of the match as fireworks exploded below them.
