ALBAWABA - A boat carrying approximately 270 people sank off the coast of northern Cyprus, Reuters reported Sunday.
The news agency added that authorities and first responders launched rescue operations to search for survivors. The catamaran-style ferry was heading from the port of Kyrenia in the breakaway north of ethnically divided Cyprus to the Turkish port of Tasucu in Mersin province.
