A British woman has been stabbed to death at a railway station in Germany.Police were called to the Rosenheim train station in Upper Bavaria early on Sunday morning.A 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she died shortly after.Investigators have now arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of murder.A young man allegedly attacked the woman with a knife at around 12.50am, the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters reports.Police said: 'Federal police officers were able to provisionally arrest the suspected attacker, a 27-year-old German citizen from the Fürstenfeldbruck district, immediately after the attack, at the scene.' Officers say they are now investigating a suspected homicide motive – though the reason for the fatal attack is still unclear and 'the subject of ongoing criminal investigations'.It is also unclear whether the victim and perpetrator knew each other or if it was a random act.Police have asked witnesses who may have observed anything at the train station, such as a dispute or altercation, to contact the Rosenheim Criminal Police Inspectorate on 08031-2000.
