The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a re-examination for candidates whose NEET PG 2026 test was disrupted by power-related problems at two examination centres in Jaipur. The fresh test will be held on September 5 at 3 pm.The decision was taken after the postgraduate medical entrance examination could not be completed at two centres located at iON Digital Zone iDZ in the Sitapura area of Jaipur.Neet PG 2026 Re-exam: Who will have to appear for NEET PG re-test?The re-examination will apply only to candidates who were assigned to test centres 41682 and 41683 at the Jaipur facility and were affected by the technical disruption.NBEMS said the examination at these centres was impacted because of internal power supply issues. The Board apologised to the candidates for the inconvenience and said fresh admit cards would be issued to those required to take the test again.The details of the new examination centre will be communicated separately. Several candidates reported that the computer systems stopped working repeatedly, making it difficult to complete the examination normally. According to complaints shared by candidates, the test would begin and then stop again after a short period.One candidate claimed that the examination started and ended multiple times during the two-hour session. Another said the system worked for only a few minutes before shutting down again.The interruptions also raised concerns about the facilities available at the centres. Some candidates called for the examination to be cancelled and conducted again because they felt the repeated disruptions had affected their performance.NBEMS apologises, announces corrective measureAcknowledging the problem, NBEMS said the examination could not be completed at the two Jaipur centres because of internal power supply issues. The Board expressed regret over the disruption and announced the September 5 re-examination for the affected candidates.Candidates who are covered by the decision will need to appear for the fresh test as per the schedule mentioned by NBEMS. They should keep checking the official communication from the examination authority for details of the centre and revised admit card.NEET PG 2026: Over 2.7 lakh candidates registeredThe NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted on August 30 at 1,111 centres across the country. According to NBEMS data, 2,73,096 candidates registered for the examination. Of these, 2,65,980 candidates appeared, while around 2,63,535 candidates completed the test.The September 5 re-examination is not for all NEET PG candidates. It has been announced specifically for those whose examination was affected by the disruption at the two identified centres in Jaipur.The fresh test is intended to give the affected candidates another opportunity to complete the examination under normal conditions.
