Ani Iniedu, Force Public Relations Officer, , disclosed this in a statement, saying the suspects were paraded on Thursday following their arrest by operatives of the Special Tactical Squad.
The Police said the arrests followed credible intelligence received by the police concerning the activities of the suspected syndicate.
It said operatives of the squad subsequently launched a sting operation at about 6pm on August 19, 2026, in Auta Balifi, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, leading to the arrest of the four suspects.
The police also recovered clothes allegedly purchased with proceeds from the criminal activities, which were retained as exhibits to support the ongoing investigation.
The suspects were identified as Emmanuel Ode, 23, of Auta Balifi, Nasarawa State; Dr Benjamin Oyime, 48, from Edo State, a nephrologist and kidney consultant and consultant to Wellington Hospital, Life Camp, Abuja; Dr Daniel Otukpa, 53, from Benue State, also a nephrologist and Acting Director of Clinical Services at Wellington Hospital; and David Idoko, 25.
