Türkiye steel exports rise 2.9 percent year-on-year in July

Türkiye’s steel product exports rose 2.9 percent year-on-year in volume to 1.2 million tons and 4.4 percent in value to $827.3 million in July, according to data from the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TÇÜD).

In the January-July period, steel exports increased 2.4 percent from a year earlier to 9 million tons, while export revenues rose 1.6 percent to $6.1 billion.

Steel imports fell 19.7 percent year-on-year in volume to 1.5 million tons and 17.6 percent in value to $1.1 billion in July.

During the first seven months of the year, imports declined 3 percent in volume to 10.7 million tons and 4.9 percent in value to $7.4 billion compared with the same period of last year.
