Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi says the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and Tehran is in no hurry to reopen it.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran (IRGC) also says that it maintains firm control over the strait, accusing US leaders of spreading false statements regarding the passage to sway energy prices.
