A technology problem rarely stays a technology problem for very long.

A platform may need to scale. A product may need to move faster. An organisation may want to introduce AI, modernise an ageing estate, improve customer experience or launch something entirely new.

The first instinct is usually to look at the technology itself.

Which architecture should change? Which platform should we buy? Which team should build it? Which tools should we introduce?

Those questions matter. But they are often not the questions that determine the outcome.
