New Delhi: The first mega India-Russia International Industrial Trade Fair 'INNOPROM.India' will be held during September 9-11 here ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to visit the exposition.The exhibition is expected to provide new opportunities for direct business engagement, technology partnerships and the development of joint industrial projects between the two countries, people familiar with the matter said. Putin will be visiting India to attend the September 12-13 BRICS Summit.The planned visit to the exposition by Modi and Putin underscores the high level of attention attached to the development of bilateral industrial and economic cooperation, experts on India-Russia ties said.Also read: Plans afoot for Modi, Xi meet at SCO, to set stage for India visitThe exhibition will focus on areas such as mechanical engineering, chemicals, digital technologies, mining and extraction technologies, human-centric technologies and the development of bilateral trade and industrial cooperation, people familiar with the event said.Russian exhibitors will showcase their latest developments and technological solutions. Among the exhibits will be a model of a nuclear power plant equipped with a VVER-1200 reactor unit, as well as composite products designed for the storage, use and transportation of gas. The exposition will also showcase master alloys and powders made from rare and rare-earth metals, along with models of modern Russian aircraft and helicopters, the people said.
