The Edo State Government has issued transmission and distribution licences to CCETC Ogua Energy Limited as it expresses confidence that the 100-megawatt power project in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state will be completed this year.

The state Commissioner for Power, Paul Usenbo, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Benin City on Saturday.

He stated that CCETC Ogua Energy Limited had been presented with the certificate of licence for electricity transmission.

Usenbo said the 100MW power project had successfully met the key prerequisites and timelines for its first phase, which was completed in July 2026.
