Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has described the State government’s flagship initiative, Sanjeevani, as a game changer in delivering healthcare services even to people residing in the remote tribal areas.Mr, Naidu, along with Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, launched the healthcare programme on a pilot basis at Gannela Panchayat of Araku Valley mandal in Alluri Sitharama Raju district on August 29 (Saturday).Gannela is the fourth location in the State where the pilot programme has been launched, after Kuppam, Giddalur and Alur.Addressing a large gathering, the Chief Minister said the initiative aims to integrate modern technology and medical expertise with healthcare services. “It will help tribal patients access specialist medical services without having to travel long distances to Paderu, Visakhapatnam, or other major hospitals,” he observed.“Tribal people generally travel to Paderu, or go to King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam for advanced medical services. With Sanjeevani, the best available doctors from across the country and the world can be made accessible to them through video consultation and advanced technology,” the Chief Minister said, adding that health problems should be detected at an early stage and appropriate measures taken to prevent their progression.
