Matt McNulty/Getty ImagesAug. 29, 2026 7:57 am EDT Updated Fiorentina have enquired about Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto’s availability before the end of the transfer window.Leeds would only allow the Italian to leave Elland Road if they added an attacker of their own before the window closes.The Serie A outfit have enquiries in for more than one target in Gnonto’s position and Leeds are waiting to see if they want to advance talks on their 22-year-old winger.Leeds sources have indicated there is a small possibility a move could progress, but they also acknowledge that it is late in the transfer window and they would need to sign a replacement should they sanction an exit for the 13-time Italy international.Gnonto has struggled to cement his place as a starter at Leeds, having initially broken into the team as a 19-year-old under Jesse Marsch in 2022-23. Across two seasons in the Championship, he started 48 — 50 per cent — of the league games.Last season, back in the Premier League, Gnonto started four times and he may wonder if this season promises the same exposure. He was absent from the club’s opening two matches this campaign, each against Nottingham Forest, due to injury but returned to full training on Friday.
