EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — At the beginning of training camp, Aaron Glenn said he “liked” where the Jets were — but he wanted to love where they’re at.Training camp and the preseason are over, and it does feel like the Jets have made some strides across the board. Geno Smith is a clear upgrade at quarterback. The offense has some weapons. Out: Brady Cook, Bailey ZappeNot much new here. Smith is and will remain the Jets’ starter. The hope is that Klubnik doesn’t have to play, but for now, he is the no-doubt No. 2. Zappe and Cook didn’t push Klubnik for the job, so now we wait to see if Mougey wants to scoop up a quarterback from another roster, via trade or the waiver wire.Klubnik is a rookie with some moxie. He should be capable of managing the offense, though it would be better if he didn’t have to anytime soon. He struggled a bit in the preseason finale — especially on an interception he threw in the second quarter on a pass intended for Jelani Woods.
