Amy Winehouse's bandmate, who performed with the star at the peak of her career 20 years ago on her Back to Black tour has reflected on her complicated life and says he’s never seen “anyone tolerate so much pain as Amy.”
Bass player and Amy’s longtime musical director, Dale Davis - who joined her as she toured in 2007 - is honouring her legacy with a special set of gigs in time for the 20th anniversary of the release of Back to Black.
But while her talent was undeniable, tragically so were her battles with addiction which ultimately lead to her death in July 2011 from alcohol poisoning aged just 27.
