A Russian attack caused a fire in a high-rise residential building in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"During the night of August 29, a Russian attack caused a fire in one of the apartments on the ninth floor of a nine-story residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district," the statement said.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighboring apartments.

In addition, the floors between the apartment and the roof were destroyed.
