The US Army has selected five nuclear reactor vendors to deploy more than 20 microreactors at five domestic military installations under Project Janus over 2028-30. The deployments may ultimately cost as much as $2.2 billion total, although that figure, and the deployments themselves, may be just the tip of the iceberg.
