Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A South Carolina man wound up receiving the perfect gift on his wedding anniversary: a $100,000 lottery jackpot.
The Graniteville man told South Carolina Education Lottery officials he stopped at the Pilot Travel Center in Graniteville and bought a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket for the drawing on July 7, his wedding anniversary.
The man said he had to repeatedly check his ticket after the drawing to believe he had won $100,000.
"I told my wife, 'I have an anniversary present for you. I think we won $100,000,'" he said.
