Noah Cyrus posted a loving tribute to late country icon Dolly Parton on Thursday (Aug. 27) in which she noted that she waited a beat to allow older sister, and Parton’s goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, to share her thoughts first.
In a post featuring a number of classic, glamorous images of Parton — including one of her sharing a mic with the sisters’ dad, singer Billy Ray Cyrus — Noah wrote, “i wanted the first words you heard to come from miley, and now that she’s spoken, i’d like to share a few words about dolly.”
