Home Minister V. Anitha celebrated Raksha Bandhan with police personnel in Nakkapalli on Friday. After tying rakhis, Ms. Anitha acknowledged the sacrifices the police make to discharge their duties, often staying away from their families and sisters during festivals.Ms. Anitha said police personnel on duty were unable to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their sisters as they had to remain at their workplaces to ensure public safety and security.She said she had tied Rakhis to them as a sister and shared the festive spirit with them.
