Aug. 28 (UPI) -- High-profile meetings between Paris Saint-German and Barcelona and Real Madrid and Arsenal were among those revealed through the league phase draw for the 2026-27 Champions League.
The Parisians are favored to win the tournament for a third consecutive time. The finale will be June 5 at Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.
Barcelona and Spanish La Liga rival Real Madrid, German Bundesliga power Bayern Munich, Arsenal and fellow English Premier League club Manchester City are among other expected contenders in the annual UEFA tournament, which features the top teams in Europe.
League phase matches, drawn Thursday in Monaco, will be held over five months, from Sept. 8 through Jan. 27.
