IndiGo has announced investment in Sarvam as part of its broader strategy to use AI-led technologies for improved customer experience and innovation. The investment was made through IndiGo Ventures, the airline’s venture capital arm, that has previously invested in aerospace manufacturing and urban mobility start-ups. IndiGo Venture’s investment is a part of Sarvam’s Series B funding in which the Bengaluru-based AI start-up raised around ₹698 crore from various investors. IndiGo Venture’s committed around ₹30 crore, according to Sarvam’s filing. In a statement, IndiGo said the investment builds on the existing relationship between the two companies.
