Lepas, the new Chinese electric and hybrid vehicle brand owned by Chery and launched in the UK in 2026, is offering sleek, electrified SUVs like the L8 plug-in hybrid and L6 electric model. While the order books are now open for the L6 EV, pricing has yet to be announced.
UK customers can choose between two trim levels that Lepas says are generously equipped. The Essence variant includes “a comprehensive suite of technology”, safety and comfort features, while the Elevate variant adds further luxury, convenience and intelligent parking technology, according to the brand.
Both variants of the large electric car house a 65kWh LFP battery and 160kW (217PS) electric motor to deliver up to 279 miles of range. Similarly, both variants of the L6 EV can gain a 30–80 per cent charge in approximately 22 minutes at charging stations offering 120kW DC charging.
The front-mounted electric motor produces 160 kW (217PS) and 275Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0–62mph in 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 111mph.
The manufacturer has picked up on current fashion and has given the car’s exterior styling what it calls “Leopard-inspired elegance.” The brand further describes the electric car’s aesthetics, saying, “Its clean, flowing shape includes details inspired by the movement, confidence and agility of one nature’s most elegant predators.”
