LAS VEGAS — The next few days will define the summer of the Las Vegas Raiders’ pro personnel staff.They’re the people in charge of shrinking the roster down from the current 89 players to 53 by 3 p.m. Pacific on Sunday. Kubiak and the staff like the fourth-year pro; they’ve praised him at every turn since their arrival. But O’Connell’s made it clear he wants to play, which he’s unlikely to do in Las Vegas. He’s also on the last year of his rookie contract. Las Vegas could trade him before Sunday, with a few teams in the market for backups.
