English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the season-long loan signing of Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on Thursday.

Announcing the move, the Premier League club posted, “Ahlan wa sahlan (welcome), Omar!”

According to British media reports, the undisclosed deal includes a mandatory purchase clause requiring Spurs to make the transfer permanent.

“I’ve spoken with the head coach, I loved what he had to say and I’m sure our passion for the game will go very well together,” Marmoush said.

Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi described the 27-year-old as an ambitious player with significant attacking quality.
