President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that soldiers from the SSU’s “Alpha” unit struck a Tu-95MS missile carrier in Engels; he also confirmed strikes on an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region and on targets in the Black Sea.
According to Ukrinform, the head of state announced this on Facebook.
“Over the past 24 hours, soldiers of our Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region. It is located 1,000 kilometers from the front line. We have also launched justified retaliatory strikes against Russia’s war in the Black Sea. In Engels, Russia, soldiers from the SSU’s “Alpha” unit struck a TU-95MS missile carrier. These are the very aircraft that are carrying out strikes against Ukraine,” Zelensky noted.

He thanked the soldiers for their accuracy, adding that Ukraine’s long-range sanctions are a direct response to their attacks. “The Russians must feel what their war is really like,” the President emphasized.
