…Says ‘their sacrifices will not be in vain’
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday, empowered widows of fallen heroes made up of 1315 widows of soldiers and 323 widows of Police officers who lost their lives in the line of duties.
The empowerment is the second edition of the programme created to cushion the effect of economic challenges faced by the widows and their children
“We have come together not only to remember the sacrifices made by your husbands, but also to provide support and opportunities for all you remarkable women who have endured so much”, she said.
She said the nation will always remain grateful to the brave men and women of the security forces who work tirelessly, often at great personal risk, to protect and preserve the peace and security of Nigeria
