The motion is entitled “Transmission Company of Nigeria Management and the Future of the Electric Power Sector Reforms in Nigeria: The Urgent Need to Facilitate Swift Action in the Management of TCN through Investigation.’’ Moving the motion, Abubakar expressed worry that the TCN had not been able to implement the NEGIP project.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has introduced an internally developed load & outage analytics platform to address systemic operational inefficiencies, streamline grid monitoring, and curb mounting technical and commercial losses across its national network.
Developed by TCN’s Operations Department just a year after the creation of the Transmission Service Operator (TSO) division, the Streamlit-based software unifies data across 13 modules.
Speaking at the technical presentation of the platform in Abuja, Sule Abdulaziz, the Managing Director of TCN, said that noted that while full system deployment remains pending, the platform immediately enhances network visibility.
He emphasized that minimizing system losses through precise load management and supply-demand matching remains vital to lowering operational costs and stabilizing the grid.
