UNICEF Renovates Three Primary Healthcare Facilities in Katsina

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has renovated three Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities in Daura, Batagarawa and Funtua Local Government Areas of Katsina State to improve healthcare delivery and accessibility in the state.

The facilities, renovated under the Global Fund, are the Maternal and Child Health Centre (MCHC), Bakiyawa in Batagarawa; Sabon Gari Primary Health Centre in Daura and Dandutse Primary Health Centre in Funtua respectively.

While handing over the renovated Bakiyawa MCHC on Thursday, the Health Manager, UNICEF Field Office Kano, Dr. Serekeberehan Seyoum, called for sustained investment in the healthcare sector in order to tackle health challenges bedeviling women and children.
