Rivian CFO Claire McDonough is leaving the company.

She held the role at the EV startup for close to six years.

The news comes as Rivian races to scale up production of the R2.

Rivian's CFO, Claire McDonough, is leaving the EV startup at the end of October, the company announced on Thursday. She has held the role for close to six years and is leaving Rivian to take the CFO spot at GE Vernova, a manufacturer of energy equipment, she said in a LinkedIn post.

Rivian's vice president of finance, Derek Mulvey, will be appointed interim CFO as the company searches for McDonough's replacement, the automaker said.
