"I hope we can govern together with Vannacci. If they want to govern with us, I don’t see why we should exclude them." During the presentation of the Ischia branch of Gioventù Nazionale, the government representative opened up to the possibility of having General Roberto Vannacci and Futuro Nazionale within the coalition, whilst at the same time acknowledging that the government had made little progress on the security front: “I would ask him what problems he wants to solve, if he wants to be a minister, what responsibilities he intends to take on and what solutions he proposes. They could provide greater impetus on the security front or encourage FdI to focus its efforts more on this issue,” he explained. But the reaction from Fratelli d’Italia was almost immediate. Via della Scrofa most likely did not take kindly to the ‘outburst’ from the deputy minister, a member of the Meloni government, who is attacked daily by Futuro Nazionale.
