Ousted Border Patrol boss Greg Bovino has sensationally claimed that the Trump administration would like to see him dead.The former commander-at-large of Minneapolis's Operation Metro Surge made the claim on Tucker Carlson's podcast.Bovino, 56, pointed to what he framed as a schism within the agency as purported proof. The White House dismissed the claims as 'absurd' in a statement to the Daily Mail.'If they want you gone, if those gate guards want you gone, you better watch out. They’ll come for you. They will come for you,' Bovino cryptically told Carlson about an hour into their interview.He clarified that he was referring to the administration and offered an 'absolutely' when Carlson asked whether that had 'happen[ed] to you.' 'The minute I left, security detail gets pulled,' Bovino continued, months after being forced into retirement following the deaths of Alex Pretti, 37, and Renée Good, 37.Bovino explained how he was receiving a rush of 'death threats' at the time and claimed Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Rodney Scott was behind the decision.'I think to silence me,' Bovino said, before being cut off.Carlson asked: 'Silence you like, get you killed? ‘Cause that’s what it sounds like.' Dan Bovino, 56, accused the administration of of wanting to see him dead after being forced out of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency in March, after his botched Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis that ended in April after the deaths of two US citizens Carlson - speaking to Homan for the first time since his ouster - was left awestruck by the story'Yes,' Bovino answered immediately, claiming 'I’m in a running battle every time I go out. 'I mean, every time.'He pointed to 'crazies out there' that would happily do the deed, to the what-he-framed-as delight of Scott and White House border czar Tom Homan. 'Do I think they want me killed? Absolutely,' Bovino claimed.'I don’t think Trump would,' he quickly added.Bovino explained that he thought the President 'would have an absolute panic attack or a heart attack' if he learned of what the CBP and United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were doing to 'anyone that disagrees with them.' Bovino claimed Trump's border czar, Tom Homan (left), was one of the high-ranking officials who wants him gone. Homan took over Operation Metro Surge after Bovino was forced into retirement. He said he hadn't spoken to Homan since he left.'If you think Homan and this other guy want you dead, I mean, that’s like, it’s unbelievable,' Carlson said at a point.Bovino asserted the 'proof’s in the pudding.'A White House spokesperson pushed back on the theory, telling the Daily Mail: 'This is absurd.''Tom Homan is an American patriot and career law enforcement officer with decades of experience effectively protecting American communities and deporting illegal aliens.'A White House official also said that Homan does not weigh in on matters surrounding security for former or current DHS officials.
