Two days ago Darren Jacklin was at the Tibet border spending the hours waiting to cross meeting people in villages, learning about their lives, sharing a laugh.

Now, in the aftermath of a flash flood caused by a glacial collapse, he’s grappling with the horrific realization that many of the people he met on his journey are missing or dead.
