Kenyan world record holder Sebastian Sawe has withdrawn from this month’s Berlin Marathon due to an undisclosed injury.
Sawe, 31, confirmed his withdrawal on Thursday, saying he was forced to pull out of the September 27 race because of the injury.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that I am forced to withdraw from the Berlin Marathon due to injury,” Sawe said in a statement.
