Gusau also said he would continue to contribute to the development of Nigerian football by making his experience and relationships within African football available when needed.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Ibrahim Gusau resigned from office on Thursday during a press conference at the NFF Glass House in Abuja, ending his tenure months before the federation’s next scheduled election.

Gusau said he decided to step aside to allow other Nigerians to contribute to the development of football in the country, according to Channels Television.

“I just want to tell you that I decided to resign my position as the NFF President,” Gusau said during the press conference.
