Apollo Global Management, Inc. (NYSE:APO) shares edged higher Thursday after the firm announced a strategic partnership with KKR (NYSE:KKR) involving Atlantic Aviation, a private aviation infrastructure operator valued at nearly $10 billion.
The gain came despite Financials falling 0.4%, while the S&P 500 rose 0.6%.
Apollo Takes Significant Atlantic Stake
Apollo-managed funds acquired a significant interest in Atlantic Aviation in a deal valuing the company at nearly $10 billion, while KKR-managed funds will remain a substantial shareholder.
Atlantic operates one of the largest fixed-base operator networks in the U.S., providing aircraft fueling, hangar leasing, and other aviation services under long-term airport concession agreements.
