After a weekend of early access, the Open Beta for Modern Warfare 4 is set to arrive.‌Activision is giving gamers across all platforms a chance to try out the new Call of Duty game, with plenty to get excited about. While Xbox, PC and PlayStation gamers got to preview the game last weekend, the Open Beta includes access for Nintendo Switch 2 players, too.‌The Open Beta for Modern Warfare 4 is being called the "biggest" in series history. There'll be multiplayer action, a playable campaign mission and more to try out as the weekend goes on.‌It includes rewards that will carry over to the full release when Modern Warfare 4 launches on Friday, October 23. Furthermore, there are unprecedented levels of customisation for loadouts, Operators and more.Here's everything you need to know ahead of the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta.‌Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta countdown, release date and timesThe Open Beta represents a second weekend of early access Modern Warfare 4 action. Beginning on Friday, August 28, it offers a first look at the game for many.The Open Beta begings at 10am PT for players on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, PS5, PC via Steam or Battle.net and Nintendo Switch 2. That means us Brits can log on from 6pm onwards.‌Before getting to grips with the beta, players are encouraged to sign in to their Activision account. This allows beta rewards to carry over and supports cross-platform progression.Access to the Open Beta isn't gated like the early access weekend. It means anyone can download the Open Beta on their chosen platform and play without the need for a code.It can be pre-loaded, downloaded and installed ahead of the 6pm start time on Friday, August 28. Pre-loading has been available for a week on all platforms except Switch 2, for which pre-loading became available at 5pm on Wednesday, August 26.‌Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta contentDuring the Open Beta weekend, players will have access to more content than the early access beta. For instance, the player level cap is increased from 20 to 30 and all eight beta rewards can be unlocked, and will be available in the full game when Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23.The campaign mission 'Entrenched' returns from the first weekend, as does the Mobility Course.
