Karnataka State Commission for Women Chairperson Nagalakshmi Chaudhary visited the Women’s Police Station near Nehru Circle in Mysuru city on Thursday and reviewed its functioning.A statement here said Ms. Chaudhary inspected the facilities available at the station, besides the services being provided to women, handling of complaints, cases of missing women, criminal cases and the Open House initiative.She instructed officials to ensure that the Internal Complaints Committee conducts meetings once every three months in accordance with the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, provides a safe working environment for women staff and responds promptly to their grievances, the statement added.
