Canada has highlighted eight important steps prospective international students should take before moving to the country for their studies.
The guidance, published by CIC News and shared on CanadaVisa’s X account on Thursday, noted that moving to Canada as an international student involves more than securing admission and booking a flight, as students need to make adequate preparations before departure.
The first step is to accept an offer of admission from a Canadian institution.
International students typically need a letter of acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution before applying for a study permit.
Students are also advised to apply for a Canadian study permit as early as possible.
