The Erode District Employment and Career Guidance Centre will soon commence coaching classes for examinations conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI), Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).Notifications have been issued for 11,718 vacancies for the posts of Junior Associate, Local Bank Officer and Customer Service Associate. The classes will be held online from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.In a release, Collector S. Kandasamy said the coaching would include daily spot tests, weekly tests, subject-wise tests and full-length mock tests. Candidates have been asked to register through the Google Form provided by the centre.The centre said its free online coaching had helped several candidates secure government jobs. Last year, 30 candidates who attended coaching for the Cooperative Department Assistant examination cleared it. Another 42 candidates who attended coaching for the Health Inspector Grade-II examination also cleared the examination and secured jobs.Seven candidates who attended coaching for the 2025 Group IV examination cleared the test and were appointed in various government departments. In the TNPSC Group II examination, 10 candidates cleared the preliminary examination, while two cleared the main examination and are awaiting counselling.Students can also register on the Virtual Learning System (VLS) of the Department of Employment and Training to access study materials, mock tests and current affairs for competitive examinations.
