The six-year agreement gives Anthropic access to 460 megawatts of compute capacity at an Nscale data center in West Virginia

Anthropic has signed a roughly $45 billion cloud computing deal with Nscale, a U.K.-based AI infrastructure company. Two confidential sources told CNBC that under the terms of the deal, Anthropic will lease roughly 460 megawatts of computing power from an Nscale data center facility in West Virginia.
The deal spans six years and will draw on Nvidia $NVDA's Vera Rubin chips, according to TechCrunch. The Vera Rubin architecture integrates six distinct chips and represents the leading edge of what is technically achievable in chip engineering today. The West Virginia facility is expected to come online at the end of 2027.
