RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) has resumed production on one of its tile lines following scheduled maintenance, while another line remains shut for ongoing maintenance.According to a disclosure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website today, the company said that machinery at tile production line-2 has been offline for maintenance since August 24.RAK Ceramics will notify once maintenance work on line-2 is completed and operations restart.With the resumption of production line-3, the company is now running two of its four tile lines, alongside production line-1.Following the announcement, shares of the ceramic’s producer declined 0.32 percent to Tk 30.80 as of 11:14 am on the DSE.RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) reported a net loss of Tk 39.59 crore for the year ended December 31, 2025, sharply up from a loss of Tk 2.73 crore a year earlier, as higher finance costs eroded profitability despite double-digit revenue growth, according to its annual report.Incorporated in 1998, RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) operates as a ceramics brand for tiles and sanitaryware, leveraging global parentage from UAE-based RAK Ceramics.Its plant is located in Gazipur, 60km from Dhaka. The company operates 300 sales touchpoints across demand hubs in Bangladesh, supported by a distribution network of 150 dealers and sub-dealers nationwide.
